Welcome to George Gregory's Re-Election website.

It has been an honor to have served as your magisterial district judge for the past six years. Again, I ask for your support and vote for re-election.

The position of the magisterial district judge has evolved over the years to the point that one must have a good knowledge of the law and a wealth of personal experience. Forest County, regrettably, is experiencing crimes that were once indicative of a large city such as rape, murder, and a variety of other crimes. In addition civil limits have been increased to $12,000, thereby encompassing more complicated cases.

Who is George Gregory? I was born and raised on a farm in Jenks Township. It wasn’t a profitable existence, but you quickly learned the value of hard work. At an early age, my first job on the farm was picking potato bugs. My first job off the farm was for Allen Roberts at the Gulf Station. (The best job and boss I ever had.) My work ethic has served me well, and today I love to work and do the best job I can do. Following graduation at East Forest, I attended the University of Pittsburgh. At that time, our country was involved in a military conflict in Southeast Asia and I was drafted between my sophomore and junior years. Two years serving in the Army made you grow up very quickly. Following the Army, I returned to Pitt with a real understanding of the need to work hard and continue my education. After graduation, I worked in several juvenile facilities and then as a state parole and probation officer. From there, I moved on to the federal probation office, and I served as a federal officer for 28 years. After initially working as a field officer, I was eventually promoted to supervisor. I was subsequently appointed by the Federal Court as the Chief Probation Officer and served in that position for my final nine years in the federal court system. As a federal officer, I had the chance to observe, work with, and learn from the finest legal minds in the Western District of Pennsylvania. After retiring from Federal service, I still needed to work, so for several years I delivered packages for FedEx. There is something to be learned from all types of work, but I find working with people and serving the community to be particularly rewarding.

Thank You,

George Gregory
